Obituary

EDWARD ARTHUR DENNIS, 60, passed in peace Friday, August 19, 2016. He was born to the late Daniel and June Dennis, December 27, 1955. He graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida and worked for Coca Cola for 37 years. He leaves his wife, Linda; his daughters, Renee' (Chris) Dennis of Huron, Ohio, Terri (Todd) Toothman of Spencer, West Virginia, Beth (Jon) Stowers of Spencer, and Michelle (Nick) Meadows of Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Also survived by sisters, Jacki (Wendell) Burson of St. Cloud, Florida, Barbara (Pete) Washington of Little Mountain, South Carolina, and brother, Donald (Suzann) Dennis of Groveland, Florida; and 11 beautiful grandchildren. Also included as family are Carol and Barry Showalter, Paula and Bob Florian, Paul and Anna Drennen, Barb and Steve Martin, Eddie and Dianna Drennen, Jan and Nathan Hall, Lisa and Jeff Walker, and his extended family at Coke. Alzheimers and diabetes made his life challenging but did not stop him. He loved driving the tractor, weedeating, walking the dogs, or going to get the mail, with or without pants on. But he always wore his mud boots. Opening the car door for Linda was a high priority, even toward the end when he had a difficult time walking. Linda would have to get back out, walk to his seat, buckle him in, and was rewarded with a big smile and a kiss. As his wife, felt his love, but the love of his life was his daughter Renee'. He was so proud of the farm and did not know a stranger :"Coffee is on, come on over and sit on the porch." He loved to play practical jokes-i.e. saran wrap the toilet, super soaker squirt guns, so many stories from Coke, and the man loved "butter bowls"! A celebration of his life will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 beginning at 4pm at the family farm. In lieu of flowers, bring a covered dish. (He loved food) Coca-Cola, Fox News, and the Republican Party have lost a loyal fan. I can hear him now, "GO BULLS, yes sir!"
