Dorothy worked briefly for the FBI in Washington, D.C., before returning to Spencer, where she became the Superintendent of the Lunchroom at Spencer Grade School for over 30 years. To many in the community, she was more than just a colleague—she was a second mom and grandma to a lot of children that she babysit over the years Known for her nurturing spirit, Dorothy took great pride in ensuring no child went hungry, often serving double portions to those in need.
Dorothy's heart was full of love, and her life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and a never-ending positivity. She never spoke a negative word about anyone, and her love touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Though her physical presence may no longer be with us, her legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith will live on in all who were fortunate to know her.
Per Dorothy's request, she was cremated and there will be no services.
