DOROTHY DICKERSON, 92, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away December 21, 2024 at Miletree Center in Spencer.
She was born December 25, 1931 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Harold and Hattie Long Harris.  She was a former employee of G.C. Murphy and Big Star in Spencer and attended the Spencer Church of the Nazarene.  In addition to her outside work, she was a lifelong caregiver to many people, putting everyone's needs before her own was always most important to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Holly B. Dickerson; son, Roger A. Dickerson; granddaughter, Erika Westfall; grandson, Eric Dickerson; brothers, William Harold Harris, Jr. and Larry Harris; and sisters, Shirley Sampson and Marie Isaac,
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Holly E. (Judi) Dickerson of Spencer and Gary B. Dickerson of Florida; brothers, Charles Harris of Spencer and Donald Harris of Richmond, Virginia; sister, Delores Stockner of Spencer; grandchildren, Miranda (Mark) Griffin, Amber Dickerson (Rob Wille), Sara Ash, Meygan Dickerson, and Roger Flesher; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 11:00am on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer with Pastor Jack Roberts officiating.  There will be no visitation.
