Diane Gussie Rhodes, 60, of Kenna, WV formerly of Spencer, WV passed away April 14, 2023 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV after an extended illness.

She was born November 4, 1962 in Fort Bragg, NC and was the daughter of the late Hubert and Hazel Rhomenus of Spencer, WV.

She was a retired community support worker at FRN after 15 years in Spencer, WV. She also worked in Oil and Gas title work for many years. Most recently she enjoyed her job at NGK, Charleston, WV for the past 6 years. Some things that brought her joy and happiness were sewing, any kind of crafts, going camping, anything that had to do with her grandbabies and family.

Left behind to cherish her memory, is her loving husband of 22 years, Gary Allen Rhodes of Kenna; four daughters, Angie (Billy) Kay of Charleston, WV, Rachel (Wayne) Harper, Jamie (Luke) Taylor, and Amie (Jake) Starcher all of Spencer, WV; a son, Richard (McKenna) Vanhorn of Georgia; many nieces, nephews, and some wonderful friends that was family in her eyes. She also leaves 15 grand babies which were the diamonds in her eyes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Rhomenus and one grandbaby, Amor Tre Starcher.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. ~ Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV with Pastor Danny Whited officiating. Burial will follow at Rhodes Family Cemetery on Jones Ridge in Roane County, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home Wednesday.
