DELORIS KAYE PAXTON, 54, of Spencer, West Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 20, 1962 in Glenville, West Virginia, a daughter of Rondle L. McCumbers of Spencer and Kathy Cottrill (Teddy) West of Spencer. She was a long time employee at Nichols Graphics and served as their office manager for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Deloris is survived by her husband of 37 years, Marvin Paxton of Spencer; her children, Marvin Paxton, Jr. and his fianc, Monica Nichols of Spencer and Matthew and Samantha Paxton of Reedy, West Virginia and their children, Emmett, Brooklynn, and Aleiyah; her brothers, Ronnie (Ruth) McCumbers and Jim McCumbers, all of Glenville, Virgil (Donna) McCumbers of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and David (Noelle) McCumbers, of Tacoma, Washington; her sisters, Donna (Paul) Mazon of Spencer, Lisa (Bobby) Baker of Grantville, Georgia, Edna (Doug) Venditti of Morrisville, North Carolina, and Crystal (Mike) Murphy of Glenville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rondle L. McCumbers, Jr. and a nephew, Rondle R. McCumbers. Services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Robert Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
