David "Dave" Wayne Thomas, 63, of Spencer, WV passed away May 3, 2023 at his residence.

He was born March 26, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Clarence Omar and Van Helen Jane Brooks Thomas.

Dave served 16 years in the United States Marine Corp., and retired as a Deputy Sheriff for Roane County and from Walmart. He enjoyed buying, selling and trading different items, fishing and gardening in his free time. He loved playing Cribbage online, where he made several friends over the years. They later started traveling to Las Vegas, NV and having their own in person tournaments together.

Left behind to cherish his memory, is his wife, Sheila Looney Thomas of Spencer; two sons, David Thomas (Missy) of Papillion, NE and Matt Thomas of St. Petersburg, FL; and three grandchildren, Ayden, Zoe and Lilah Thomas all of Papillion, NE.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Krystal Thomas and brother, Richard Thomas.

At this time there will be no services at Dave's request.
