David Michael Sergent,76, died peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2022, in Stow, OH.

Born on December 30, 1945, in Charleston, WV; he graduated from Charleston High School in 1963 and joined the Army where he served for almost 3 years.   He was a Service Technician for Pitney Bowes in West Virginia and retired to Stow, OH with his wife Sonia in 2005.

Mike (as he was known to most people) loved Nascar Races, classic cars- mainly hot rods, music, reading, and especially people.  He could always be found striking up a conversation and talking well into the night. He never met a stranger and enjoyed the company of all who knew him.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Isla Jean Sergent (Luling, LA) and sister Brenda Webb-Hickman (Kalispell, MT).

He is survived by his best friend and wife Sonia Sergent (Stow, OH); daughter Mary (Sergent) Combs (husband Brad); son Brent Sergent (wife Nicole); granddaughters Gabriella, Leila Grace and Sophia, and grandson Mitchell.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. ~ Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Walton Union Church 7080 Charleston Road Walton, WV 25286. Burial will follow at Sergent Family Cemetery in Walton, WV. Visitation will be on hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
