DAMON E. "SPOON" NORMAN, 62, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at home.
He was born January 16, 1961 in Red Stone Arsenal, Alabama, a son of Darlie Nicholas Norman of North Carolina and the late Pascal Norman.  He was an oil field worker for over 30 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and wood carving.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Zachary Norman of Virginia; a granddaughter, Audrina Norman of North Carolina; sisters, Ramona (Jerry) Nichols, Andrea (Mike) Turner, and Melinda (Steve) Blackwell, all of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews;  and several loved and treasured children which were not his own.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia with Gene Miller officiating.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00pm until time of the service.
