Clifford Oliver Phillips, 87, of Sistersville, WV passed away February 17, 2023 at his residence.

He was born October 30, 1935 in Sistersville, WV and was the son of the late Pearlie Edward and Ida Mae Lightner Phillips.

Clifford was the assistant superintendent for the Tyler County Department of Highways. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting with his grandsons, cookouts, fish frys with family and friends and driving his John Deere tractor.

Left behind to cherish his memory, is his wife, Ruth Arlene Fluharty Phillips of Sistersville; two daughters, Tammy Darlene Phillips Morris (Howard) of Billington, WV and Judy Charlene Blystone (Eric) of Columbiana, OH; two sons, Tommy Wayne Phillips (Sharon) of Friendly, WV and Johnny Clifford Phillips (Angie) of Titusville, PA; three sisters, Norma Jean Brewer, Bonnie Stoneking (Jerry) and Barbara Michaels all of Sistersville; and 36 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Edward, Harold and Cecil Phillips and Lily Rice.

The family plans of having a gathering at a later date.
