Clifford Hunter Fitch, 80, of Spencer, WV, formerly of Norfolk, VA, passed away on May 27,2021 at CMAC Memorial Hospital.
Clifford was born on October 25, 1940 in Norfolk, VA and was the son of the late Helen Hunter Fitch and Isaac Clifford Fitch.
Clifford proudly served in the United States Marines. He also worked in Real Estate and owned his own tractor trailer. He worked in transportation and delivery until his retirement. While traveling in his truck, he fell in love with Spencer, WV. In 2011, Clifford decided to retire there. He always spoke of the wonderful neighbors and friends he made there.
Clifford enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He was an animal lover. He loved his two dogs, Rocky and Boo. He loved working with his hands and tinkering in his garage. He was a devoted husband and father. He was a very faithful and giving man.
In addition to his parents and brother, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Doane Fitch and son-in-law, Marc German.
Left behind to cherish his memory, are his two daughters, Laura German of Virginia Beach, VA. and Wendy Gray (Shawn) of Avon, NC; grandchildren Ginnie German, Madeline, Tonya and Olivia Gray; nephew Michael Fitch, niece Jenny Fitch, and sister-in-law Joan Fitch.
There will be a service at a later date for family and friends.
