CHARLES ALLEN GIBSON, 75, of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
He was born August 9, 1949 in Charleston, a son of the late Mark Hammond and Virginia Madaline Holly Gibson.
He loved Santa Claus, a billfold with $1 in it and exchanging a dollar for a dollar, a red and black t-shirt with Santa on it, and telling people to turn the TV and lights off.  He also enjoyed looking at the newspapers and Christmas cards, his pocketwatch and harmonica, and loved his quarters and his shoes.  He loved the chicken dinners from Dairy Queen but his favorite dinner was brown beans with cornbread and fried potatoes.
The employees at his care home were his family.
Charles was buried by his parents at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston.
