CARL EDGAR CARPENTER, 58, of Spencer, West Virginia died November 13, 2016 at the Roane General Hospital. Carl was born November 2, 1958 in Spencer a son of the late Edgar Carpenter and Edith Sampson. He was a self-employed small engine repairman and an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Rachelle Hicks Carpenter; a daughter, Cassandra (Robert) Stelmack of Spencer; a son, David Allen (Jeanie) Rowe of Spencer; a sister, Billie Jo Fox of Wadsworth, Ohio; two brothers, Stanley Carpenter of Ravenswood, West Virginia and Jeff Carpenter of Leon, West Virginia; and six grandchildren. Funeral service will be 6:00pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Gary Fox and Rev. Bradley Pettit officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Per his request, the body will then be cremated.
