Brenda Faye Bateman, 51, of Spencer, WV passed away November 4, 2022 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.

She was born March 27, 1971 in Charleston, WV and is the daughter of Lula Belle Dunlap Freeman of Spencer and the late Jimmie (James) Bateman.

Brenda was a homemaker. She loved crafts, unicorns, dolphins, spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandbabies. Brenda loved animals, including her poodle, "Midnight" and two cats, "Baby and Tigger."

In addition to her mother, left behind to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Sonya Green of Ripley, Sandra Price and Breanna Bateman both of Spencer; son, Riley Bateman of Spencer; four sisters, Patty Carper (Jim), Roberta Bateman, Phyllis Kiser (Tom) and Lisa Nichols (Mike) all of Spencer; brother, Dempsey Bateman (Karen) of Spencer; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jessie James, Destiney, Lillian, Madison Nichols, Anastasia Price; special friends, Paul Boggs, Cathy Burdette, Carolyn Simms, Kari Rucker
(Dwight) all of Spencer and Debra Young of LeRoy, WV.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, James, Jerry and Earl Bateman; and an infant granddaughter, Samantha.

There will be no services at this time. Brenda will be later buried at Good Hope Cemetery in Reedy, WV.
