BILLY LEON FOUTY, 87, of Reedy, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 after a 9 ½ year battle with Alzheimer's Disease with his loving family by his side..
He was born May 27, 1933 on Longs Run off of Middle Fork Road near Reedy, a son of the late Jennings B. and Ernestine Rhodes Fouty. He was a former mechanic at Reed-Rhodes Motors for 21 years, taught auto repair for two years at the Roane-Jackson Technical Center, and owned Fouty's Automotive Service for 20 years. He also enjoyed farming, rebuilding automobiles, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1953-1955.
Billy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia Rhodes Fouty; daughter, Kathy Fouty of Reedy; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Judy Fouty of Reedy; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Ron Postalwait of Ripley, West Virginia; and a grandson, Matt and Elizabeth Fouty of Morgantown, West Virginia.
There will be a public visitation from noon until 2:00pm on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia. A private family burial will take place at the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Peniel, West Virginia with Brother David Bowe speaking.
