Betty Lou Rader, age 93, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2025.

She was born on December 2, 1932, in Elizabeth, West Virginia, to Gladys and Bill Starcher. Betty and her beloved husband, Walter, made their home in Spencer, where they lived for over 70 years, building a life centered on family, music, community, and devotion.

Betty was a wonderful, kind, considerate, and strong woman. She lived with grace and quiet resilience, and many of the values and strengths her family carries forward were shaped by her example. Her love and strength will continue to guide those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her parents, Gladys and Bill, and she looked forward to being reunited with them in Heaven.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Rader of Frisco, Texas, and Mike Rader of Ripley, West Virginia.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Cathy Flashman for the outstanding and compassionate care she provided to Betty over the past several years. Her kindness, patience, and selfless dedication brought great comfort and dignity, and she was deeply loved by Betty and profoundly appreciated by her family.

Per Betty's wishes, she will be cremated with an interment of ashes at Swank Cemetery in Spencer, WV.
