BERNARD DALE COTTRELL, 65, of Reedy, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He was born March 26, 1951 in Calhoun County, a son of the late Cecil D. and Iva E. Sampson Cottrell. He was a laborer. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Nelson Cottrell; a daughter, Debbie Huffman of Gandeeville, West Virginia; a son, Brad Cottrell of Mineral Wells, West Virginia; four brothers, Melvin Cottrell of Lubeck, West Virginia, Kenny Cottrell of Reedy, Ronnie Cottrell of Sandyville, West Virginia, and Jerry Cottrell of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Cottrell Winnell; and a brother, Dallas "Duck" Cottrell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Reedy Methodist Church with Pastor Russell Stump officiating. Family and friends will begin gathering at 1:30pm at the church.
