Austin Lee Runnion, 17 of Spencer, went into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 20, 2017. He was born May 15, 2000 in Ripley, WV; a son of Douglas Runnion and Melinda Tanner; both of Spencer. Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Janice Runnion of Spencer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Logan Runnion of Spencer; maternal grandparents, Dewey & Peggy Tanner of Spencer; paternal grandfather, Virgil Runnion of Spencer; fianc, Alexis Wolfe of Spencer; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Austin was a junior at Roane County High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeler riding, spending time with his fianc and family, and all things military. He planned early enlistment in the fall. Austin was a born-again Christian and attended Peoples Baptist Church in Billings, WV. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taylor Vandale Funeral Home to help cover expenses.
