AMANDA D. BUTCHER, 41, of Spencer, formerly of Ravenswood, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at CAMC in Charleston from cancer. She was born April 27, 1978 in Charleston, the daughter of Gerald (Leslie) Butcher and the late Virginia (Mike) Stier. In addition to her mother, Amanda is preceded in death by her grandparents, Franklin and Jane Short and Okey and Florence Butcher. She is survived by her dad, step-father, step-mother, her two sons, Nehemiah and Zedekiah Stier of Washington, WV; two step-brothers, Jerry Lee Butcher of Ravenswood and Aaron (Cristiane) Butcher of Memphis, TN; her step-sister, Megan Stier of Huntington, WV and her fianc, Dale Cayton. Amanda graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1997. She worked in various nursing homes and restaurants in the area. She loved poetry, loved to sing, but most of all she loved and sang for the Lord. Her memorial service will be March 26, 2020 a the Ravenswood First Baptist Church at 6:00pm/ Burial will be a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, 206 Beauty Street, Spencer, WV 25276 for funeral expenses.
